Drama group seeking members

Variety show in Selma
Here are upcoming performances of the American Music Jubilee, the musical variety show at the Rudy Theatre in downtown Selma: 1:40 p.m. June 15, 22 and 29. Army band at JCC
The 440th Army Band will play an Independence Day concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, in the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium at Johnston Community College, 245 College Road, Smithfield. ‘Painting at Melody’s’

Drama camps at Neuse Little Theatre
The Neuse Little Theatre will hold summer drama camps June 10-21 at The Hut, 104 S. Front St., Smithfield. A camp for children ages 8-12 will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a camp for ages 13-18 will run from 2 to 5 p.m. Students will learn acting techniques and theater terminology. The Public Library of Johnston County and Smithfield welcomes new members to its evening book club. Meetings are at 6:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month.
