Why Southeastern? Theyve proven to be a pretty good program. Had a really good last two years. I just feel like its a good place to get stronger, better and move on to a Division I or D-II school.

Notable: Kessler wants to become more consistent at throwing strikes at the college level and refine me mechanics as well. He took advantage of an opening in the West starting pitching rotation as a senior, settling into the No. 2 starter spot for conference games and thriving there. Kessler came out of nowhere before last summer but hes really stepped up this year and grabbed the No. 2 spot pitching when he had the chance to earn it, said West coach Mike Jacobs. Before this prep season hed done most of his stellar work during the Wildcats run to three consecutive summer season championships.
West Johnston coach Mike Jacobs: Kesslers got that swag that you want in a pitcher, to be the king of the mound. Kesslers not afraid of anybody and you just love that in a pitcher.
