Why Louisburg: “I really liked the coach and most of all I liked the campus and the girls from the team. They have very high expectations and I like that.”

Notable: Megan will be joining a Louisburg program that features Misty D’Ottavio as an assistant coach. D’Ottavio was a coach for the club team that Megan played on. “Having that connection on and off the court was important for me,” Megan said. “We share a lot of the same beliefs in volleyball and of competition. She has high expectations like I do.” … Megan was a key part of Corinth Holders’ run to the third round of the NCHSAA 2A volleyball playoffs this past season. She played middle hitter for the Pirates. “I was most proud of our team and the way we progressed together,” she said. … She wants to be a high school teacher.

Corinth Holders volleyball coach Charles Riley: “Megan put in a lot of work before her senior season and she just got so much better. She really helped us, giving us a reliable second hitter in the middle to use. As the season went on we relied on her more and more.”
