Leonard Franklin “Frankie” Pittman, 63, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
He was born January 19, 1950 in Johnston County to Leonard Jonathan and Evelyn Cook Pittman. Frankie was employed by WFU Baptist Medical Center for 7 years. He loved his family and worked hard from sun up to sun down to provide for them. He loved woodworking, fishing, and gardening and his 1993 Chevrolet truck. He also loved his dog. Frankie was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
A 2:00 pm funeral service will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Heitman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kristen Jane Lindholm Pittman of the home; 4 children, Donald Pittman of Honolulu, HA, Tina Thompson of Kernersville, Crystal Culler of Midway and Jonathan Pittman of Winston-Salem; 8 grandchildren, Lane Pittman, Tyler Pittman, Christian Pittman, Madison Culler, Mason Thompson, Emma Pittman, Ava Culler, Annabelle Pittman and one on the way; 1 sister, Thelma “Pete” Dixon of Kenly and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Burroughs Funeral Home and other times at the home.
