CENTRAL JOHNSTON ROTARY CLUB

At its June 27 installation banquet, the Rotary Club of Central Johnston County presented the Jim and Vicki White Service Above Self Award to local business leader and Rotarian Keith Dimsdale.

Dimsdale is the owner and operator of Chick-fil-A in Smithfield. He has served the Rotary club as president and currently serves as co-chairman of the club’s golf tournament, a fundraiser.

Dimsdale is chairman-elect of the Smithfield-Selma Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and will be chairman in 2014. He also serves on the Leadership Johnston Program Committee and on the steering committee for the Men’s Bible Study of Johnston County.

Dimsdale has been involved with numerous Rotary service projects, including the Polio Plus project on the international level.

The Service Above Self award is named for Jim White, the founder of the club, and his wife, Vicki, who served as the club’s secretary for many years.
