At its September meeting, the auxiliary to American Legion Post 109 in Benson heard from Girls State participant Sidney Williams.
She shared what she wrote in her diary during her week-long stay at Catawba College, where she learned how the N.C. General Assembly works.
Auxiliary members were encouraged to attend a pancake breakfast Oct. 19 at Applebee’s in the Cleveland community. Also, they made plans for Make a Difference Day on Oct. 26.
