Crimes Notes: Jan. 22

Sheriff’s Office

•  John Louis Sikovsek, 46, of 940 Braswell Road, Smithfield, was arrested Jan. 14 and charged with assault on female.

•  Joshua Leon Lasane, 22, of 322 Steve Ridge, Willow Spring, was arrested Jan. 14 and charged with larceny by employee.

•  On Jan. 14, deputies responded to a break-in and larceny at a home on Manchester Trail, Clayton. The thief stole a $500 stove.

•  Joseph Michael Allen, 30, of 366 Parker Road, Four Oaks, was arrested Jan. 13 and charged with assault on child under 12, assault on female and domestic criminal trespassing.

•  Billy Bruce Parker, 50, of 729 Mulberry Road, Four Oaks, was arrested Jan. 13 and charged with assault on female and communicating threats.

•  On Jan. 13, someone broke into a home on U.S. 701 South near Four Oaks and stole $3,080 in property, including a laptop computer, a television, a DVD player, a dog cage, a Playstation console and two tennis bracelets.

•  Gregory Keith Thompson, 64, of 367 Norwood Drive, Clayton, was arrested Jan. 12 and charged with assault by pointing a gun, assault on female and communicating threats.

•  On Jan. 12, deputies responded to a break-in and larceny at a home on Wiggs Road, Selma, where someone stole $10,701 in property, including two flat-screen TVs, jewelry and $1,500 in cash.

•  Jerome Bernard Neal, 29, of 431 Barnes Lake Road, Middlesex, was arrested Jan. 12 and charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of firearm by felon.

•  On Jan. 10, deputies responded to a break-in and larceny at storage facilities on Edwards Road, Princeton, where someone stole a $6,500 Steam Genie.

•  On Jan. 10, someone broke into a home on Little Divine Road, Selma, and stole $2,600 in jewelry.

Smithfield Police

•  On Jan. 16, a man armed with a knife stole $150 from Beauty Supply on North Bright Leaf Boulevard.

•  Morris Kenneth Sapp, 59, of Smithfield was arrested Jan. 15 and charged with breaking and entering.

•  Santos Seferino Son, 28, of 116 S. Fifth St., Smithfield, was arrested Jan. 15 and charged with breaking and entering.

•  Dwane Michael Snyder, 46, of 315 Mill Creek Church Road, Newton Grove, was arrested Jan. 14 and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

•  On Jan. 12, police responded to a break-in at Taste of China on North Bright Leaf Boulevard, where someone stole $220 in cash and caused $2,600 in damage to a cash register and quarter machine.

•  On Jan. 12, police responded to a break-in at Sweet Frog on North Bright Leaf Boulevard, where someone caused $4,050 in damage to a computer monitor, two cash registers and a window.

•  On Jan. 12, someone broke into a home on East Langdon Avenue and stole $4,450 in property, including an LCD TV, a laptop computer and a necklace.

•  Matthew James Thomas, 38, of 26 A Fieldale Drive, Smithfield, was arrested Jan. 11 and charged with assault on female.

•  Kimberly Denise Ferrell, 21, of 2209 Kay Drive, Smithfield, was arrested Jan. 11 and charged with driving while impaired.

•  Stacy Renee Davis, 27, of 2232 Kay Drive, Smithfield, was arrested Jan. 11 and charged with driving while impaired.

•  On Jan. 11, someone broke into We Ship It on Third Street and caused $500 in damage to a glass door.
