Bank names advisory board members

Kimberly M. McCullers has joined the Smithfield-market advisory board of Four Oaks Bank.

Separately, Michael L. Winfree has joined the bank’s advisory board in Four Oaks.

McCullers is president of Mitchell Temporary Services in Smithfield, where she oversees the day-to-day operations, manages recruitment and employment, provides leadership training and development, and maintains all payroll and invoice processing.

A graduate of Smithfield-Selma High School, McCullers attended East Carolina University, where she studied early childhood Education. She is a past president of the Smithfield-Selma Chamber of Commerce and the Central Johnston County Rotary Club.

“Words can’t express how excited our staff is about the addition of Kimberly Mitchell McCullers to the Smithfield Local Advisory Board,” said Mike Wooten, senior vice president and Smithfield city executive for Four Oaks Bank. “Mrs. McCullers has been a true leader in our local business community for many years and is well respected by all in the business community.

Born in Wilson, McCullers moved to Smithfield in 1975, where she continues to reside with her husband David, son Cameron and daughter Karlie.

Winfree retired Dec. 31, 2013, as the bank’s Four Oaks city executive. He brings 32 years of banking experience to the advisory board.

Winfree is a graduate of Pfeiffer University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics. He also served in the U.S. Navy for seven years.

Winfree is a former member of the Clayton Rotary Club and a former president of the Four Oaks Chamber of Commerce. In 2009, he receive the chamber’s Distinguished Citizen Award.

Winfree and his wife, June, reside in Clayton. They have two children, Aaron and Amber.

Selma native named funeral home manager

Selma native Art Sellers Jr. has been named manager of Capital Funeral Home in Raleigh and a director of the Cremation Society of the Carolinas. Most recently, he was manager of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Pittsboro.

“Our full-service funeral home, with on-site crematory, provides dignity, respect and comfort to families when it is most needed,” Sellers said. “In addition to Wake County, our funeral home and crematory serves families in Chatham, Lee, Orange, Durham and Johnston counties.”

Award winner

Vickie Adams, a Mary Kay independent sales director, has received the 2014 Businesswoman of the Year award from the Clayton Women In Networking.

During her career with Mary Kay, she has been on the National Queens Court of Sales for four years and has earned three gold medals for team building. She has won two Mary Kay career cars.
