Gospel music

Bingo play is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church, 8715 U.S. 301 South, Four Oaks. The cost is $15 for two cards and a hot dog meal. Additional cards are $5. Proceeds will go to the Johnston County Relay for Life. For more information, call 919-796-0502.

The annual Spring Fest lunch and supper is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Smyrna Original Free Will Baptist Church, 11415 N.C. 96 South in the Meadow community. The festival will feature baked goods, crafts and $7 plates of barbecued pork and chicken.

A fish and shrimp supper is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Bentonville Community Building on Devil’s Racetrack Road. Takeout plates are $10. Dine-in plates are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. A country store at the supper will feature homemade cakes, pies, candy, cookies and other goodies. A spring bazaar is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Bizzell Grove Church, 4700 Bizzell Grove Church Road, Princeton. The bazaar feature breakfast, crafts, vendors and lunch.

A pancake breakfast is scheduled from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Applebee’s, 5158 N.C. 42 in the Cleveland community. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 4-10. For children

An Easter program for children is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Bentonville Disciples of Christ Church, 8566 Devil’s Racetrack Road, Four Oaks. The event will feature a puppet show, an egg hunt, a program and light lunch.

Community outreach

A Women’s Day service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday, April 27, at Mount Vernon Christian Church, 301 N. Lombard St., Clayton. Clayton Valerie Lassiter will speak. She is chief executive of Lassiter & Associates, a fundraising management and consulting firm.

Evangelist Hattie Lofton of Smithfield will speak at 7:30 p.m. April 23-25 at New Jerusalem Bible Church of God, 61 JJ Lane, Dunn.

The Rev. Derrick A. Justice of Clayton is celebrating his seventh anniversary as pastor of Lillington Star Free Will Baptist Church. A service in his honor is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, April 27, at the church, 183 Bailey Way Road, Lillington.

An anniversary service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, April 27, at Mt. Sinai Holy Church, 2106 Pine Level-Selma Road near Pine Level.

A three-day lecture series on global missions will meet at 7 p.m. April 21-23 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 403 E. Caswell St., Smithfield. Guest lecturers will talk about preparing congregations for mission trips.
