Scholarship luncheon

The Smithfield-Selma Chamber Women’s Business Network will hold its 2014 scholarship luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at the Country Club of Johnston County, 694 Country Club Road, Smithfield. The luncheon will feature spring fashions from Pizazz and DeWayne’s. Julie Ricciardi will speak. She is vice president for engagement at William Peace University, where she manages fundraising and teaches music. Those attending are asked to wear a hat. Business Side of a Faith-Based Organization – 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at the Johnston County Workforce Development Center, 135 Bestwood Drive, Clayton. Learn the proper business structure, board organization, volunteer management, business tips and more.

Leadercast in Benson

On May 9, community and business leaders can access the knowledge and experience of world-renowned leaders by attending Leadercast Johnston County at the Benson Conference Center in Benson.

This year’s speaker lineup includes:
