Charnese Williams

Air Force Reserve Airman Charnese B. Williams has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Charlene Williams of Four Oaks.

The airman completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, the Air Force’s core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate’s degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Williams is a 2008 graduate of West Johnston High School.

Jonathan A. King

Air Force Reserve Airman Jonathan A. King has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Lisa Davis of Jacksonville, Ala., and the nephew of Ellen Franks of Princeton.

The airman completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, the Air Force’s core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate’s degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Diana Adams

Air Force Airman Diana C. Adams has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Linda Adams of Clayton and Bryan Adams of Conway, S.C.

The airman completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, the Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate’s degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Adams is a 2009 graduate of West Johnston High School. She earned an associate’s degree in 2012 from Johnston Community College.

Matthew J. Rains

Army Pvt. Matthew J. Rains has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is the son of Michelle Kornegay and Bryan Rains, both of Princeton.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics.

Rains is a 2012 graduate of Princeton High School.

Ethan Johnson

Pfc. Ethan Hoyle Johnson, 20, of Smithfield has graduated from U.S. Marine Corps boot camp at Parris Island, S.C.

Johnson completed 13 weeks of training as one of 46 recruits in Platoon 2016, Fox Co., 2nd Battalion. He is now at Camp Geiger for combat training. He will then report to military occupation specialty school.

Adam R. King

Air Force Airman 1st Class Adam R. King has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Jim M. and Kristie J. King of Asheville and the brother of Jacob A. King of Clayton.

The airman completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, the Air Force’s core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate’s degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

King is a 2009 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School in Asheville.
