Fundraisers

A yard sale is scheduled from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 7, at Believers Baptist Church, 100 Southerland Road, Clayton. Proceeds will help send youth to summer camp.

Gospel music

A gospel sing is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at Howell Chapel Church, 214 E. Preston St., Selma. The lineup includes God’s Men of Harmony, Tru Prayze and Brother Virtes and the New Spiritual Messengers.

The King’s Messengers and Legacy will sing at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Everett Chapel Church, 307 Everett Ave., Clayton. Admission is free; the church will collect an offering for the quartets. A hot dog supper is scheduled for 5 p.m.

Eric and Laura Ollis will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at Burnell Baptist Church, 3720 Old School Road, Four Oaks. Admission is free; the church will collect an offering for the group. For more information, call the Rev. Jessie Brock at 919-894-1418.

Vacation Bible School

Holy Temple Church of God will honor its pastor at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 15, at the church, 228 Montgomery Heights Road, Selma. Pastor Betty Lee of Mt. Livingstone Holiness Church in Selma will speak.

Appreciation services for Bishop E.L. Covington are scheduled for 7 p.m. June 12-13 at Mt. Calvary Holiness Church of Deliverance, 114 Lakeview Drive, Four Oaks. The following will speak: Apostle J.A. McDonald of Deliverance & Praise Church of Worship in Fayetteville and Elder Gerald Wells of Faith Deliverance Tabernacle in Dunn. A Men’s Day program is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at New Hill Baptist Church, 2591 Fire Department Road, Clayton. Elder Keith Roberson of Howell Chapel Church will speak.

Christ Community Church has moved to its summer schedule. That’s coffee, juice, fruit and fellowship at 9:45 a.m., morning worship at 10 a.m. and then a potluck lunch and information about upcoming activities. Edgerton Memorial United Methodist Church offers “Saturday Night Alive” at 6 p.m. Saturdays in its fellowship hall at the corner of West Waddell and South Sumner streets in Selma. Through Aug. 30, each Saturday night will offer music and a message.
