Sheriff’s Office

•  On May 29, someone stole $5,000 in horse saddles from a home on Old Beulah Road near Selma.

•  Michael Ray Flowers, 28, of 8675 Flower Hill Road, Middlesex, was arrested May 28 and charged with assault by pointing a gun, speeding to elude arrest, reckless driving, speeding, failure to stop for a stoplight and second-degree trespassing.

•  James Willard Godwin, 51, of 120 Simon Road, Middlesex, was arrested May 28 on five drug-related charges, including selling cocaine.

•  On May 28, someone broke into a home on Hickory Crossroads Road, Princeton, and stole $2,300 in property, including a laptop computer, a portable PlayStation and a television.

•  On May 28, deputies responded to a break-in at a home on Long Needle Drive, Clayton, where someone stole $1,600 in property, including a bow, weed trimmer and drill.

•  Joshua Dylan Baylor, 18, of 104 Stockbridge Drive, Selma, was arrested May 27 and charged with felony breaking and entering and injuring personal property.

•  On May 27, someone broke into a home on Princeton-Kenly Road, Kenly, and stole $4,500 in property, including 25 video games, 12 game controllers, a Sony PS4, a laptop computer and two TVs.

•  On May 26, someone broke into a home on Cpyress Court, Clayton, and stole $6,500 in property, including a TV and a wedding ring.

•  Robert Allen Holleman, 41, of 885 Richardson Road, Zebulon, was arrested May 25 and charged with discharging a firearm and going armed to the terror of the public.

•  Luis Marcelino Cortes, 26, of 1105 Thompson Road, Four Oaks, was arrested May 25 and charged with driving while impaired and driving without a license.

•  On May 25, deputies responded to a break-in at a home on Woodside Drive, Clayton, where someone stole $2,800 in property, including jewelry, a laptop computer and $200.

•  On May 23, someone stole a $2,000 Buick LeSabre and a $1,500 Dodge Caravan from a parking lot on North Pleasant-Coates Road, Benson.

•  Christopher Shaun Romero, 25, of 141 E. Kennedy Blvd., Lakewood, N.J., was arrested May 24 on five drug-related charges, including three counts of trafficking in opium or heroin.

•  Angel Alberto-Martinez, 32, of 708 Peterson St., Raleigh, was arrested May 24 on four drug-related charges, including selling marijuana.

•  Benito Ascenico Rojas, 50, of 4680 Princeton-Kenly Road, Kenly, was arrested May 24 and charged with driving while impaired, driving while his license was revoked, carrying a concealed gun and transporting an open container of alcohol in the passenger area of a vehicle.

Smithfield Police

•  Antonio Ray Davis, 37, of 803 Holly St., Goldsboro, was arrested May 30 and charged with assault inflicting serious injury and false imprisonment.

•  Kareem A. Muhammad, 50, of 401 Oak St., Smithfield, was arrested May 28 and charged with killing an animal by starvation and cruelty to animals.

•  On May 28, police responded to a theft at a home on Stephenson Drive, Smithfield, where someone stole a green 1996 Ford Explorer worth $3,000.

•  Gary Lavon Dobbin, 26, of 95 Marler Road, Benson, was arrested May 26 and charged with assault on female and misdemeanor larceny.

•  On May 26, police responded to a theft at a home on North Lakeside Drive, Smithfield, where someone stole a paddleboard worth $1,500.

•  Brandon Christopher Reeves, 25, of 108 Hawks Nest Circle, Smithfield, was arrested May 25 and charged with driving while impaired, driving without a license and communicating threats.

•  Jose Guevars-Valentne Mejia, 33, of 205 Cotton St., Clayton, was arrested May 23 and charged with driving while impaired.
