Crime Notes: June 22

Sheriff’s Office

•  Joseph Daniel Price, 23, of 6903 U.S. 301 North, Kenly, was arrested June 5 and charged with assault on female.

•  Douglas Clint Matthews, 36, of 625 Noah Road, Benson, was arrested June 5 on three drug-related charges, including possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana.

•  On June 5, someone broke into a home on Pony Farm Road, Clayton, and stole $1,300 in property, including a rifle, a shotgun and two televisions.

•  On June 5, someone stole an $11,000 hydraulic transmission from Caterpillar on N.C. 42 East near Clayton.

•  On June 5, someone stole $3,000 in electric wiring from the Johnston County landfill.

•  Byron Augustas McNeill, 35, of 476 Thorne Road, Selma, was arrested May 4 and charged with assault inflicting serious injury.

•  Austin Tyler Thompson, 17, of 230 Penwood Road, Willow Spring, was arrested May 4 and charged with multiple counts of larceny and breaking and entering a motor vehicle.

•  Kenneth Dean Thompson, 20, of 230 Penwood Road, Willow Spring, was arrested May 4 and charged with multiple counts of larceny and breaking and entering a motor vehicle.

•  Demetrius Earl Smith, 19, of 148 River Hills Drive, Clayton, was arrested June 4 on four drug-related charges, including possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana.

•  William Christopher Nichol, 24, of 229 Northfort Drive, Clayton, was arrested June 3 and charged with two counts of assault on female, injuring personal property, injuring real property and a making a threatening phone call.

•  On June 3, deputies responded to a theft on Zack’s Mill Road, Angier, where someone stole a white 1996 Ezgo ATV worth $2,500 and a $300 battery charger.

•  Brendan Louma Attoh, 35, of 31 Standing Oaks Lane, Clayton, was arrested June 2 and charged with assault.

•  Sarah Leigh Smith, 33, of 108 Sandee Drive, Angier, was arrested June 2 on three drug-related charges, including two counts of trafficking in opium or heroin.

•  Courtney Cymone Joyner, 21, of 1224 Beulahtown Road, Kenly, was arrested June 2 and charged with five counts of trafficking in opium or heroin and felony conspiracy.

•  James Lee Matthews, 32, of 11461 N.C. 96 South, Dunn, was arrested June 2 and charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

•  On June 2, deputies responded to a theft at a home on Covered Bridge Road, Clayton, where someone stole about $9,700 in property, including antique furniture, 300 CDs, a book collection and entertainment equipment.

•  On June 2, someone broke into a home on Partridge Circle, Middlesex, and stole $3,600 in property, including two rifles, two pistols and about 1,000 rounds of ammunition.

•  On June 2, someone broke into Corinth Holders High School and stole about $10,000 in farm and gardening equipment.

•  On June 1, someone broke into a home on Baker’s Chapel Road, Princeton, and stole three pitbull puppies worth $750.

•  On May 30, someone broke into storage facilities on Old Creech Road, Selma, and stole $2,550 in property, including amps, a saw and drills.

Smithfield Police

•  Kevin Dwayne Miller, 39, of 6816-A Raleigh Road, Benson, was arrested June 5 and charged with driving while impaired, resisting an officer and carrying a concealed weapon, a knife.

•  Ashley Nichole Beasley, 23, of 1766 Blackmon Road, Four Oaks, was arrested June 4 and charged with driving while impaired and leaving the scene of an accident.

• On June 4, someone broke into the Coach store at Carolina Premium Outlets and stole $4,000 in purses.

•  On June 4, someone armed with a handgun robbed a person at Berkshire and Canterbury roads.

•  Odell William Williams, 26, of 8972 N.C. 50 North, Benson, was arrested June 4 and charged with assault by pointing a gun, injuring personal property, second-degree trespassing and breaking and entering.

•  Elias Earl Sanders, 25, of 812 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Smithfield, was arrested June 4 and charged with driving while impaired.

•  Johnathan Nvika Mbumba, 17, of 307 N. Fourth St., Smithfield, was arrested June 2 and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage and driving while his license was revoked.

•  Benjamin Eusevio Figueroa, 42, of 316 Stancil St., Smithfield, was arrested June 1 and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

•  On June 1, police responded to a theft at a home on East Davis Street, where someone stole $3,600 in property, including a couch, a fishing pole, a dryer and a television

•  Antonio Ray Davis, 37, of 803 Holly St., Goldsboro, was arrested May 30 and charged with assault inflicting serious injury and false imprisonment.
